About Christian Kressmann

BEyond Creativity

My Story

Christian Kressmann is an actor, coach, and creativity researcher based in Berlin. He holds a PhD focused on how creativity emerges in individuals and teams under pressure—a question that has shaped both his academic work and his life on film sets.

Alongside his acting career, Christian has worked in leadership and organizational development roles, coached high performers, and observed film productions from multiple perspectives: in front of the camera, behind the scenes, and inside complex team systems. This rare combination allows him to translate insights from psychology, leadership, and embodiment into language that actually works under real-world pressure.

His film projects tend to focus on socially relevant topics, often through the lens of romantic comedy—stories that entertain while quietly asking deeper questions about how we relate, communicate, and care for one another.

Christian wrote The Calm Set for a simple reason: the world deserves better films, and better films are made by crews who feel better while making them. For him, filmmaking and coaching are different scales of the same work—creating conditions where people can do their best without losing themselves in the process.
